Pastor Dave was born in Canton Ohio on November 17, 1981. He had a blessed upbringing with great parents and 2 younger brothers. But at the age of 14, he decided to pursue a life of rebellion, which included the use of drugs and alcohol. By the age of 18, in the summer of 2000, he had overdosed on LSD, gotten arrested, and found himself in the Mahoning County jail. God had plans to intervene. He sent men from a program called Teen Challenge to visit him in jail. God’s plan included a brief but unsuccessful stint at Cleveland Teen Challenge, a stay at a psychiatric hospital, and trying to stay off drugs through 12 steps groups, but failing. Finally on January 1, 2001, he entered Teen Challenge of Western Pennsylvania.
It was at Teen Challenge that he began to hear the word of God preached and see examples of lives changed by the grace of God. Through the long and difficult process of this program which lasted 12 months, Christ worked the miracle of regeneration in his heart and gave him the gifts of repentance and faith. He remained at Teen Challenge for the year of 2002 as an intern. It was here that he discovered his desire for and gifts in ministry. Through working with the men that God was sending to the program, he discovered a deep joy and peace in sharing the gospel and his life with them. From the years 2003 to 2006, he met his wife Kim and went through college.
After coming back and working as a counselor for Teen Challenge of Western PA for 8 years, He was promoted to Director on December 1, 2014. Dave and his wife Kim have 4 adopted children and also run a program called SON-ward Youth programs in the City of New Kensington, PA, where they also live. This program reaches out to inner city youth, to help them see the light of Christ in the midst of poverty, crime and broken families in the community.

His Family has experienced the pain of addiction through the loss of their 16 year old daughter Ashley to addiction.
