Long Term Faith-Based Program
With over 50 years of successful operation the long term faith-based program contines it’s tradition of bringing wholeness to the hopeless. An adapted version of the 12-step program is complemented by Bible study, and community service. A state-licensed G.E.D. program is available for students that did not complete high school. *The women’s program is a 12-month program conducted in one location in Philadelphia. Both programs are similar in content.
How long is the the long term program?
The long term faith based program is between 11 and 14 months long and consists of two phases with different options for the first phase:
In order to enter the long term program students must complete phase one. There are two options for phase one completion.
Option 1: Induction center stay completion. This is the traditional, faith based Teen Challenge option conducted at an induction center.
Option 2: Short term program completion at TCTC. The new short term program opening at the Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, PA is a traditional State Licensed program.
What is an induction center?
This is considered the instruction phase of the program, lasting 4-5 months in length and is considered a “spiritual boot camp” for men and women who want to be free from life-controlling habits and become alive in God.
At the induction level students participate in both a group studies program as well as a personal students program. Both of these programs occur simultaneously at our induction centers.
Group Studies (GSNC)

These classes are offered at every residential Teen Challenge program in the country. The group study classes are designed to teach Biblical principles and develop a knowledge base that that will encourage students to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as they overcome their life-controlling problems
Personal Studies (PSNC)
Personal Studies for New Christians (PSNC) is an individual study program developed by Teen Challenge USA. Teen Challenge students, along with their mentors develop an individual study program through a mutually agreed upon learning contract. Working in this way allows students to focus on their uniqe needs, concerns and issues. Often times these learning contracts include elements such as Scripture memorization, topical studies, reading assignments and practicing how to apply these to their own lives.
